 MISSION
Vermont Pet Partners was founded in 2004 to bring together the Delta Society Pet Partners teams from throughout the state as a working group. Our mission is improving human health through therapy animals. Our goals are to expand awareness of the positive effect animals can have on human health and development, to remove barriers that prevent involvement of animals in everyday life, and to expand the therapeutic role of animals in human health and education. Pet Partner teams visit with the residents of nursing homes, patients in hospitals and students in schools. Pet Partners animals also participate in occupational and mental health counseling, as well as physical therapy. Vermont Pet Partners is a registered non-profit organization.
